You Capture - Winter

This weeks You Capture theme at I Should Be Folding Laundry is Winter. If I understand correctly, we are to show the rest of the world what winter is like for us where we are! Well. . .  I am way up here North of the 52° Latitude! Winters are harsh, cold and LONG! I have been here for 20 years now, and having grown up in tropical Colombia, South America, adjusting to winter has NEVER been easy! Sure it was fun at first, but the novelty sure wore out pretty fast! Now, and as I get older and older, I struggle more and more with this idea of winter, not exactly my favourite time of the year! In the middle of it all though and as I was reviewing my winter pictures I can also see the beauty of it and that is really what I want this pictures to reflect! So please enjoy and keep warm wherever you are!

Your photos are beautiful.

I especially love the one of the little boy with the frost on his eyelashes! :)

Actually that is my daughter! LOL!! It was one of those days of -40! She went out to play for a little while and it didn't take long for her eyelashes to get all frost up like that! Brutal!

These are the MOST breathtaking photos. I can't even pick my favorite -- love them all.

Really wishing I had a barn to highlight my winter.
Love the frost/eyelash shot. It seems the only body part that frost accumulates on on people I know is their noses, which is not so photogenically cute.

Those photos are stunningly beautiful and frighteningly cold all at the same time. I love that you have a dogsled team!

Beautiful photos! We've had lots of snow and -20 to -30 weather here, but no sun in so long I barely remember what that's like!
